Clinical Hypnotherapy is the foundation to everything else I integrate through 1:1 sessions, group sessions or retreats.
Whether it be techniques, excerpts of techniques, advanced language structures to penetrate the Subconscious Mind. Or telling stories and asking questions. The Subconscious Mind loves stories & metaphors, and cannot resist a question!! In the deepest layers of consciousness a question will stir up answers and begin to reorganise inner data, even if it’s not made immediately available to the Conscious Mind.
My particular specialty is Ericksonian Hypnosis, which appears much more conversational, integrating clever indirect suggestion in ways that do not ‘sound’ like you might imagine hypnosis to sound!
I generally do not use traditional trance inductions, because I don’t need to.
I also have NEVER used scripts. Everything is woven with the threads of your own reality, language & symbolism live in the moment. What I say to you in Hypnosis is highly crafted and forensically targeted to reach the most potent spaces within you.
I have become Unconsciously Competent in these skills after 11 years, my expertise has been handed over to my unconscious so that I often don’t have to think about Hypnosis and deep influence on the Subconscious Mind at all!
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses hypnosis to help you make deep inner change with greater ease & sustainability than other talking therapies.
It literally Re-programs & Re-wires through your brain and body, through your nervous system, in a neurological process called ‘Neuro or Neural Plasticity’. This facilitates remarkable change in your thought patterns, self talk, feelings, somatic experience all the way through to your behaviours and habits.
In Hypnotherapy we focus as far back onto your timeline as we can, so we access the original root causes and traumas that affected your sense of yourself, your perceptions of the world, your belief systems and values.
Together we reveal the very tapestry of your human Psyche. With care, precision and love we are able to unpick what is holding you back and causing you problems. And then we re-weave in the most fortifying and honouring way.
If any aspect of your development requires healing, updating and integrating, we can safely access this within the softness and expansiveness of an altered state of consciousness and lowered brain wave frequency, into the Alpha & Theta zones.
As a Hypnotherapist I am Trauma Informed. The most important learned skill of a Hypnotherapist is knowing exactly how to excavate the depths of your consciousness WITHOUT causing Re- traumatisation. This is essential for safe holding of Trauma in the therapeutic space.
Hypnosis involves creating or entraining to a trance-like state in which you feel both highly relaxed and focused, allowing you to easily access your Subconscious Mind.
During this state I can guide you through various techniques and suggestions to resolve specific issues or activate your goals and desires for your future.
I have sooooo many tools & techniques within my Hypnotherapy repertoire. I absolutely love blending them and creating with them moment my moment.
Working deeply at the level of your Subconscious Mind (which is solution focused) taking emphasis of the analytical aspect of your Conscious Mind (which can be problem focused) is the difference that makes the difference.
Your Subconscious Mind is also your Body & Cellular Memory. There is a famous saying in therapy ‘Your Body Speaks Your Mind’. Meaning trapped Subconscious Trauma, Wounds, Imprints & Belief Systems can speak themselves out through your body and physical ill health.
This is why working with The Subconscious Mind during Clinical Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis can relieve physical conditions, even you as client had not spoken about them and were not expecting them to be treated or helped by the therapy!!!

5. Soothing Pain and Physical Symptoms :

6. Enhancing Performance: Hypnotherapy can really help to improve your performance in specific areas of your life, to smash through those annoying upper limits!
7. Treating Addiction:
Hypnotherapy helps both the deep inner trauma healing, that’s at the root of why the coping strategy of Addiction has been chosen. And also with the creation of new habits, perspectives and routines that destabilise the old ways of using and abusing substances, food or activities to distract and soothe inner pain.
8. Healing Disordered Eating and helping Weight Loss:
This was my first area of specialism, following on from my Psychology Degree Thesis on the root causes of Eating Disorders.
Hypnosis is a well known approach for helpful clients return to healthy eating and in turn to shed weight.
However this is a complex area, where most often we will need to be working at the level of early life trauma and limiting beliefs.
9. Trauma Healing, PTSD and CPTSD:
Everything above involves a degree of Trauma Healing.
But sometimes clients come with specific trauma events which are causing them problems in their current life, career, with money/debt or in the relationships and sexual intimacy.
I have worked successfully with clients to heal complex traumas from all stages of life, since I began my Hypnotherapy career in 2012.
Working with trauma became a specialism and a passion of mine early on. This work is supported by my Advanced Energy Psychology/ EFT / Tapping Technique qualifications.
